1. To receive a quote you can call us (830.2000.BOX), email us (firstname.lastname@example.org), or submit the Request a Quote feature on our web page (https://storagesquad.com/Back Bay-movers/).
2. We will email you a document asking for basic information such as items to be moved, how many rooms you need moved, where you will be moving to, etc.
3. After you fill out our Quote Form, we will create an official quote and email it to you.
4. Next simply choose a convenient date for your move!

The sooner the better! We prefer 2-3 weeks notice, but also realize it’s not always possible to plan in advance. We will do our best to accommodate last minute customers needing moves in Back Bay.

We base an estimate for a local move in the greater Back Bay area on an hourly rate. This includes the drive time from our warehouse to your home, then to your destination, and back again to our warehouse. Your quote will detail our lowest estimate (assuming everything moves quickly) and our highest estimate (If your move contains more items than originally listed or you require other services, the cost may be higher). Your moving estimate is based on how many movers you need and how long it will take them to successfully complete your move. We require a 2 hour minimum. We pride ourselves on the accuracy of our quoting process as well as being the most affordable movers in the greater Back Bay area! After the move is complete you can pay using a debit/credit card.

Correctly preparing for your Back Bay move will greatly help keep costs down and on your budget. The better prepared you are for us, the less time it will take. We recommend disassembling any furniture and cleaning/organizing as best as possible before our Back Bay movers arrival. Additionally, having loose items neatly and securely packed into boxes prior to our arrival will prevent our crew from spending time doing this on your behalf. Absolutely! If you don’t need our truck you can request 2+ Back Bay movers based on an hourly rate for your Back Bay move. However, keep in mind that the travel charge from and to the warehouse will still apply.

We highly recommend using a clear labeling system and make sure each box is marked on each side. All kitchen boxes should be labeled ‘kitchen’, all living room boxes should be labeled ‘living room’, etc. You can also give our staff instructions during the move to label on your behalf.

As licensed movers we are unable to move hazardous or combustible items (hairspray, flammable cleaning products, guns, propane tanks, any type of aerosol cans, etc).

This is no problem at all! We can accommodate any requests on the spot regarding furniture placement. Feel free to give our staff instructions regarding item placement and we will see to it that your new home feels as livable as your last.

Due to liability issues we are unable to move your pets. We will happily pet them though!
[spoiler title=”Can I ride in the cab of the moving truck with the movers?”]
Due to liability reasons we are unable to transport you, or any non movers, during your Back Bay move. Uber or Lyft are great options if you do not have access to your own vehicle!

Unfortunately, we do not dispose of trash.

At Storage Squad we make sure to clean up any move related clutter. Unfortunately we do not offer the service of doing a full service cleaning of your home.

Absolutely! Our movers are prepared to move during any weather condition. We are equipped with all necessary supplies to keep your things safe. To save time (and reduce costs) we recommend that you clear the entry ways in preparation for our arrival. However, please be aware that weather conditions may increase the total time to complete a move. Our movers are trained to be as efficient as possible though!

If you have young children, it is best for them to stay elsewhere during the moving hours. Lock up any pets in a separate room, crate, or somewhere outside to keep them safe.

Absolutely! Until you decide what to do with larger items they can be stored at our secure warehouse.
[spoiler title=”What is the best way to pack my things?”]
We recommend packing everything room by room & labeling your items. Mark anything breakable with a “fragile” marking, and keep these items separate so we can handle them with extra care.
[spoiler title=”How should I pack my electronics?”]
When moving electronics (televisions, stereo systems, etc.) it is ideal to pack them in their original packaging. This will guarantee a snug fit. We also recommend marking electronics as fragile and setting them aside so we know to move them with extra care.
[spoiler title=”Should I do any moving before the movers arrive?”]
That’s what we’re here for! We highly recommend you focus only on packing. Making sure everything is ready and packed will guarantee a smooth transition into your new home. This will also ensure that your move is as affordable as possible!
[spoiler title=”What is the best way to pack my appliances for my move?”]
Please make sure that all appliances are dry, empty, and disconnected from any water, electrical, or gas connector. We will cover your appliances in moving blankets to prevent any scratching. Thawing out a freezer before our arrival is very important as it prevents leaking onto your other treasured items!

We require anything inside of your dressers be packed inside boxes or bins. We do this as a precaution to ensure that both your dresser and our movers are safe!
